The Spoon River Chapter of NAVHDA serves the southern portion of Central Illinois. We are a relativley newer club, with a variety of ages in our membership. We have a very energetic, active membership that is always willing to lend a helping hand. Our main goal during training days is to teach handlers how to train and handle a versatile hunting dog. We have many knowlegable members on hand and try to keep the group informed between training and meeting days by e-mailing, phone calls, or blogging on our site, and also get together between scheduled training days.
The Spoon River Chapter is a family oriented club. Please feel free to always involve your spouse and children in training or testing sessions. What a great way to start a family activity, and meet a lot of new friends.
